The Science of Fly Fishing Denali National Park & Preserve July 24-26 $220 (10% member discount)

Join educator Shann Jones for the science behind fly-fishing. From the end of a fly line, study stream ecology, hydraulics, entomology, and fish habitat.
Space Available 10 spaces will be available when registration opens on January 6, 2009.
Accreditation The University of Alaska Anchorage offers one professional development credit (level 500) for an additional $69 fee. The 10% member discount does not apply to the credit fees.
Times and Location Participants meet at the Murie Science and Learning Center, located at mile 1 of the Park Road. Fishing will occur outside of Denali National Park & Preserve. This course runs from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm on July 24, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on July 25 and 26.
Hiking Distances and Physical Fitness Field Seminars are active learning experiences. Participants must be capable walkers, in good health, and equipped for sudden changes in weather. This course includes up to five miles of hiking and/or 1,500 foot elevation gain per day, over uneven terrain.
Lodging and Meals Lodging is not included. A continental breakfast and bag lunch is provided each day.
